COST-CONTAINMENT
& CONSTRUCTION SPEED
Since the founding of the Ironworkers union in 1896, Ironworkers
have been known for their contributions to building the structural
framework for buildings, roads and bridges, tunnels, dams and
domes. Dramatic changes aimed at containing cost and speeding
construction opened new markets to those with erection
and rigging skills. Today, planning and installation capabilities
range from pre-engineered and pre-cast building materials erection
to composite material installations applying innovations from
the aerospace and aviation industries.
